Direct overhead light- Large flashlight Direct front light- Large flashlight Direct behind light- iPhone flashlight Light to the right- Large flashlight Light to the left- Large flashlight Light underneath- Lightbox A. The light from the right is my favorite picture because the contrast makes it really interesting, and you can really see the detail of the egg, especially the dimples in it.
B. I think it conveys a mysterious mood because it's darker than most of the others, and the shadow over half of the egg is very dark and contrasts the light spot on the other half. C. The egg looks darker, and its shadow falls in front of it when you have light from behind. Having the sun behind someone will give the same effect, so finding a good exposure will be difficult. D. The top half of the egg is very light, but the bottom has more shadows. At noon, the top of a person would be lighter but cast shadows downwards. It wouldn't be very flattering because the subject would end up looking like they are two different colors and very strange. E. It creates a shadow on the other side of the object from the light. Taking pictures in the morning and evening put shadows to the side of the subject, not directly on them, which looks strange.
